Calling all Right Wing Zealots!

Judicial Filibuster
Do you know what this means?
fil·i·bus·ter :
  1. The use of obstructionist tactics, especially prolonged speechmaking, for the purpose of delaying legislative action.
It means the judges President Bush wants confirmed are not even able to reach the Senate Floor for a vote! This is Crazy!
It has never happened. They think the right wing has hi-jacked the republican party, well in fact we are the republican party. I urge you to inform yourselves on what is going on.
The courts are deciding what our country believes and accepts.
GO here to contact Arlen Specter (even though he sounds like a ghost, he's real and scary)
tell him to end the judicial filibuster! use E-mail or the phone.

umm, dude, no offense, but judicial nominees have been filibustered in other presidential terms, by republicans and democrats alike. it's nothing new concocted by democrats since bush took office.
yes, i know on "justice sunday" it was said at least once that it's never happened before, but google it yourself.

personally, i think filibustering is stupid, and everyone should vote straight away.
but, i can see it's usefulness....especially when the minority party in washington is representing half of the population.
though it appears (from the bit of research i've done) filibusters are being used more frequently with bush than other presidents past, and is becoming a bit absurd.

i assumed the statement "It has never happened." was in reference to judicial nominees being filibustered. my appologies if he meant something else.

filibusters are also used for delaying bills, as well as nominees. it's been in practice for decades in washington.
do the research for yourselves, verify the facts, and if you agree, or disagree, by all means let your voice be heard. 'tis how it should be in america.
