Blessed

Last night at H20 we talked about how Jesus describes being blessed. I was discussing this with a friend today, someone who wasnt there last night. (Craig.. it was our mutual friend Andrea:) ) and she was very excited because she had, just this morning, in her devotions with the Lord, been journalling on the word "BLESSED". And God told her to bring her journal to work today, but she didnt know why, but then when i mentioned the word "blessed" she knew that the reason was to share it with me. :)

She was reading Luke 1:45: Luke 1:45 (New International Version) "Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!"

She looked up the word "Blessed" in her Greek/Hebrew Study bible and this is what it said.. I thought it was very cool.. and appropriate and wanted to share with all of you! :)

Luke 1:45
Blessed=(makarios=3107)=possessing the characteristic of deity; this person is indwelt by God because of Christ and as a result is fully satisfied. One whom God makes fully satisfied, not because of favorable circumstances, but because He indwells the believer thru Christ. To be makarios, blessed, is equivalent to having God's kingdom within one's heart. Makarios is the one who is in the world yet independant of the world; his/her satisfaction comes from God and not from favorable circumstances.

Let me be frank, if not john

I like being Frank, Frank is pretty cool. Frankly, I don't know you Adam, from Adam. I would like to know you, so I invite you this Sunday to Christian Life Assembly at 9:15am to Room 702 for our Class. I will be standing in the front, I might actually have a tie on.
Almost all the bloggers on this blog go to this church, the reason for its name Fluidcommunity comes directly from our thursday night meeting of H2O which I invite you also to attend. Thursday night 7:00pm in the youth center.
Adam, you are officially invited to attend, and meet the people who fill this blog daily. Welcome.

What would you say is your purpose in life?

What is purpose?

How do you define purpose? What is the purpose of purpose? Is my purpose to make money? Is my purpose to pay bills? Is my purpose to gather material wealth in the form of things? It is none of these things.

This blind guy Kicks butt!

26They said, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?"

27"I've told you over and over and you haven't listened. Why do you want to hear it again? Are you so eager to become his disciples?"

28With that they jumped all over him. "You might be a disciple of that man, but we're disciples of Moses. 29We know for sure that God spoke to Moses, but we have no idea where this man even comes from."

30The man replied, "This is amazing! You claim to know nothing about him, but the fact is, he opened my eyes! 31It's well known that God isn't at the beck and call of sinners, but listens carefully to anyone who lives in reverence and does his will. 32That someone opened the eyes of a man born blind has never been heard of--ever. 33If this man didn't come from God, he wouldn't be able to do anything."

34They said, "You're nothing but dirt! How dare you take that tone with us!" Then they threw him out in the street.

This is how we know our purpose, because those not in God's will think we are crazy.

What do you think?
